Reviewing books is one way of treasuring and developing the
craft of great writing! I began my reviewing life with Arthurian
novel reviews, based on the legend of King Arthur, Guenevere,
etc. That's the background of my reviewer's name, Viviane Crystal!
In the real world I'm the proud mother of two sons and a delightful
granddaughter. For the last fifteen years, I've been teaching
High School English and directing a Writing Across the Curriculum
Center. In my free time, I love taking early or late-day walks
along the ocean, listening to all types of music, going to art
museums and concerts or just enjoying a cup of coffee in a (where
else? *grin*) bookstore alone or with friends. My passion is
meeting a new challenge, whether working to teach better, write
a better review, or helping someone else to discover his or
her gift of creative, purposeful expression.
My favorite books to review are usually historical fiction,
historical romance, general fiction or nonfiction, biographies/memoirs,
science fiction, fantasy, paranormal, inspirational fiction,
short story collections, poetry, and young adult fiction.
